A fine example of Rolex Sea-Dweller comes to Federal Auction’s next Live Fine Jewellery & Swiss Watch Auction being held in Calgary. The Sea-Dweller has been a favourite of collectors of sport watches. It is big, hefty, and rugged. Everything about the watch is specialized, and is a bit more beefier than a Sub. Attention to detail by Rolex is evident when you realize the luminous hour markers are framed in 18K White Gold to prevent tarnishing as this model is exposed to a lot of punishment by its owners; from salt water at depths few of us would dare to venture into, to high altitudes when trekking on snowy mountains. But this is a thoroughbred, meant for deep dives, and is good to 4000 feet or 1220 meters below sea level. It will withstand the pressure, and is fitted with a special Escape Valve, which allows Helium to escape during decompression after a dive.
This auction is open to the public and you are required to register at the auction site just before the door opening. Join us on Sunday July 22nd, 2018, 1pm at Carriage House Inn, 9030 Macleod Trail South Calgary. For more info, please visit www.federalauction.ca
