Vintage Stainless Steel Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Manual Winding Wristwatch. “Big Red” Sigma Dial. Ref# 6263

Lot 4: Rolex Daytona, a legendary wristwatch to which all other watches are compared, comes to the auction block Septmber 25^th, 2016 at Federal Auction’s next Live Jewellery & Swiss Watch Auction.  Rolex collectors will be treated to this vintage Daytona, knows as “The Big Red.”  This is the 6263 model produced by Rolex in 1975.  It features a black dial, with 3 contrasting counters, and a red Daytona print.  The bezel is stainless etched with tachymeter.  The counters on the dial have aged to an off white color.  The market rarely sees an example like this.
